Description
Sand Reedgrass is a perennial warm-season grass that can grow up to 2 metres in height. The leaf blades are long and flat; 30-65cm and alternately arranged. The apex of the leaf is long and thread-like. This grass is used as a sand dune stabilizer due to its deep fibrous root system.
Planting conditions
Sand Reedgrass grows in dry, sandy soil with full or partial sun. It has also been known to grow in upland forests dominated by Oak trees. It is a great drought tolerant species.
