Description
Little Bluegrass is characterized by its upright growth and clumping formation, that is great for soil stabilization and preventing erosion. During the growing season (late summer) it's a blue-green colour then turns a copper, orange, and red colour in the fall. The typical growth for this grass is around 2 to 4 feet with a spread of 1.5 to 2 feet. It is recommend not to plant near other aggressive plant, it doesn't handle competition well.
Planting conditions
Little Bluegrass thrives in well-drained sandy or loamy soil with full to part sun exposure. Their native habitats include prairies, open woods and meadows. It can be easily divided up and transfer to other areas.
