The Braun's Holly Fern is a large fern that can grow up to 1 m in height. It has long dark fronds that can reach up to 1 m long and is twice compound. The pinnules (segment of the frond) are toothed with bristle tips. The pinnules have two rows of circular spores that ripen to a grey, brown, or black colour by mid-summer.
