Description
A shrub-like perennial, the Prairie Sage is drought tolerant and can spread quickly through rhizomes to form colonies. It is great for planting on dry, rocky slopes to help stabilize soils.
Planting conditions
Prairie Sage grows on dry slopes, in open pine woods and dry prairies. It is very adaptable, and can grow in dry to mesic, rocky, shallow soils comprised of sand, loam, clay and limestone.
